 Cellar Club Wine Tasting

On Thursday, June 5, 2008, Bistro Romano will host its sixth Cellar Club Tasting. An enjoyable way to taste exceptional wines with unique food pairings coupled with special offerings. As you may know the last five events sold out. The June Cellar Club presentation will feature nine tastings of my favorites from our cellar, even including several from our Reserve List. The wine selection will be superb. A wine expert will be on-hand to discuss the wines and tasting techniques.

We'll be tasting Castelnova Prosecco; Te Kairanga Savignon Blanc 2006 (New Zealand); TAZ Chardonnay 2005 (Santa Barbara); Masterberandino Greco Di Tufo 2005 (Campania); Cubells Priorat 2002 - a wonderful Spanish blend of Cab, Grenache and Merlot; Super Tuscan Boschino 2004; St. Frances Reserve Cabernet 2001 (Sonoma); Le Corte Negro Amara 2005 (Puglia); and I have a special treat for the dessert wine. Our Chef will be preparing passed hor d'oeuvres while placed presentations will include cheese and cured meats, pasta and carving stations. You will have the opportunity to speak with Tim Kilcullen, Director of Wine & Education from Capital Wines, as well as Jay Vaughan & Steve Helmus from Capital.

Don't miss this exciting evening of sipping and savoring, mixing and mingling and tasting and teaching. Cellar Club guests will also receive the following, with our compliments:

  • A $20.00 gift certificate toward the purchase of a bottle of wine from the Reserve List at Bistro Romano.
  • A complimentary bottle of wine that will be presented at the Cellar Club Tasting Reception.
  • An opportunity to win a Magnum of wine to be presented at the Cellar Club Tasting Reception.

 

Bistro Romano has received the 2005, 2006 & 2007 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
