Bistro Romano, 120 Lombard Street, Society Hill, is a Philadelphia favorite for 35 years, renowned for upscale regional Italian cuisine, in the Granary Dining Room, Bistro Bar, Private 120 Dining Room and Wine Shoppe.  We maintain a clean environment, are team-oriented and treat staff well.  We are looking for servers to join our team and help us create exceptional memories for our guests.  We are open at 4:45P Wednesday-Sunday, last seating is 9P. Earliest shifts begin at 3P and end at 11:30P, approximately. 

Our servers are the backbone of our business.  We are looking for an experienced servers to join our team who like people, have keen attention to detail, and likes being busy.  You must be reliable, timely, friendly and be able to provide responsive service to create an exceptional experience for our guests.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 - Opening/Closing side work tasks

- Ownership of your assigned section

- Prompt, efficient, and courteous service to guests

- Menu knowledge, successful testing on same

- Ascertain from guests any dietary restrictions or food allergies and relating same to Chef

- Entering orders and required preparation in POS

- Working as a team with other servers, bartenders, and support staff to ensure steps of service are met

- Notifying manager of any delays, guest dissatisfaction, or other potential negative impressions

- Creating memorable experience to build repeat business

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
 - Flexible availability

- Dedicated work ethic

- Ability to work efficiently for 6-8 hours on your feet

- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

- Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

- Polite and calm under pressure

- RAMP certification required

Our hosts are the face of our business.  We are looking for someone to join our team who likes people, has a keen attention to detail, and likes being busy.  You must be reliable, timely, friendly and be able to provide responsive service to create an exceptional experience for our guests upon entry, during their visit and departure.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet all guests warmly and timely upon arrival; thank and provide a fond farewell upon departure

Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server's name upon seating
Manage reservations using OpenTable Reservation System

Confirm guest reservations; inquire about dietary restrictions and food allergies 

Receive and execute payment for take-out orders
Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, handle or escalate guest dissatisfaction
Assist service staff with setting and clearing tables and provide water service when required 

Ensure host stand and entry area is presentable and ready for guests at all times
Check phone/voicemail for reservations and respond to guest calls

Maintain and execute coat check when weather requires it

Vacuum carpets, stairs and vestible

Assist MGT with menu printing and wine lists

Make sure Bistro Romano frontage is neat and orderly

Make sure Wine Shoppe is open and properly set, bottles dusted

Position Overview:

In search of a skilled and well organized line cook to join the BR Team. You will be responsible for and efficiently setting up kitchen stations for our dynamic and ever-changing menu. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.  The Line Cook will play a pivotal role in bringing our signature creations to life.  Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional organization, self-motivation and keen eye to detail.

Responsibilities:

Exhibit proficiency in culinary techniques, knife handling and adherence to safety protocols

Follow directives provided by Sous Chef and Executive Chef

Collaborate seamlessly with team members to prepare menu items, weekly specials, chef tasting menus

Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes within a reasonable timeframe

Maintain composure and effectiveness when working under pressure

Set up stocking stations, ensuring all essential supplies are readily available

Demonstrate adeptness in working swiftly and efficiently 

Thrive in a fast-paced culinary environment 

Additional Requirements:

Capable of standing or walking for extended periods

Ability to lift, push or pull items up to 30 pounds

Reach items positioned at varying heights both high and low
